Accommodation in Bergen

Seven hotels and hostels in Bergen have been reserved for conference participants. The rooms are reserved until 15 May and can be booked through our dedicated registration website. You need your IATS registration number (six digits) when booking accommodation.

Location:

All the hotels are located near the conference venue in the centre of Bergen. The two hostels are located outside the city, but transportation time is only 15-20 minutes.

A. MONTANA FAMILY AND YOUTH HOSTEL

PRICES:

Single room with bathroom, per night NOK 550,-
Double room* with bathroom, per night NOK 860,-
4-bed room* with bathroom, total per night NOK 1325,- (NOK 331,- per person)
4-bed room*, shared bathroom**, total per night NOK 1200,- (NOK 300,- per person)

* The announced price is for the whole room. Please note that the room must be booked and paid by one person. Participants who want to share a double room or a 4-bed room must organise it among themselves.

** the shared bathroom is located in the hall

INCLUDED: Simple breakfast, bedding and towels (sleeping bag is NOT permitted)

EXTRA: If you want to change the bedding or towels during the week, you can pay NOK 50,- directly to the hostel.

LOCATION & TRANSPORTATION: Montana is located in beautiful surroundings up the hillside of Mount Ulriken. The bus ride from the central bus terminal (Bergen Busstasjon) to Montana takes about 15 minutes. The local bus no.12 “Montana” departs from platform B. Tickets valid for one week cost NOK 240,- (adults) or NOK 145,- (students).

B. FANTOFT STUDENT APARTMENTS

PRICE: Single room NOK 4000,- for 6 days (19 June – 25 June 2016)

BREAKFAST NOT INCLUDED

INCLUDED: Bedding and communal kitchen facilities
EXTRA: Bring your own towels

LOCATION & TRANSPORTATION: Fantoft is a student village located approximately 5 km south of Bergen city centre. A light rail train to the city centre has frequent departures and takes only 20 minutes. Tickets valid for one week cost NOK 240,- (adults) or NOK 145,- (students).
