Boat excursion with Statsraad Lehmkuhl (Wednesday 22 June)
Norway has a long history as a seafaring nation, and we would therefore like to invite you to an excursion on the fjord of Bergen with Satsraad Lehmkhul, a one hundred year old three-masted barque. The ship departs from Bergen harbor at 18:00. The boat has a maximum capacity of 350 passengers, and places will be available at a first come first serve basis.
PRICE: NOK 100,- (approx. USD 12,-) per participant. Please note that the excursion has to be paid together with the conference fee.
For those of you who are afraid of getting seasick we offer a guided tour of Bryggen and Fløyen as an alternative to the boat excursion. The tour starts at the UNESCO World Heritage site Bryggen, the old Hanseatic wharf of Bergen, where professional guides will introduce you to the maritime history of the city. From there you will take the cable car up to the iconic Mount Fløyen, which offers magnificent views over Bergen.
PRICE: NOK 50,- (approx. USD 6,-) per participant. Please note that the excursion has to be paid together with the conference fee.
